Riverside

This is the house in Devon where Canning lived with Diana while he was writing the last two parts of the Smiler trilogy, The Finger of Saturn and The Mask of Memory. Diana died here in 1976, and Canning was so upset that he decided to sell the house soon after. The outhouse in the garden was his study, and there was a reach of river for fishing within the grounds.
